I'm Diva Layden

And I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE weddings!

 

Thank you for stopping by As You Wish Events.   I'm a wife, mother of an adorable seven-year-old, avid cook, nature lover, florist, and wedding planner.

 

 

In 1997, I graduated as valedictorian from USC's college of education with a minor in art.  I taught for over sixteen years.  Then I retired to take care of our son.  When he entered school full-time, I started my own wedding planning and rentals business.  I have been planning weddings and other events since 2014.  Also, I have comprehensive event planning training and have been certified through online professional wedding planning courses since February 2016.

I consider myself very lucky to love what I do. There is an incredible sense of satisfaction when I see smiles on the faces of my couples and their guests. It is an honor to be part of such an important event. A wedding is meant to be one of the most joyful experiences.  I take pride in maximizing the joy and minimizing the stress.

In addition to this, I am extremely passionate about providing top-notch service.  I have strong leadership and organizational skills. I can make quick but educated decisions, which create confidence and trust between my vendors and clients.  I am devoted to assisting my brides and grooms.  I love every minute of it!  I take time to truly understand who my clients are, what they need and want, and how to give them the wedding experience they envision.  Together we will discuss your plans, specific needs, expectations, budget, and how As You Wish Events can make your wedding dreams a reality.

For most couples, planning a wedding is their first big “joint venture,” and I want that to be a huge success!  My mission is to pull together every aspect of your vision and handle all of the details so that your wedding day is beautiful, memorable, and stress-free.

My Philosophy

 

My philosophy at As You Wish Events is to provide TOP Quality wedding and event services at VERY affordable prices but still meet my client's unique needs.

 

My experience, professionalism, and intimate knowledge of local venues and vendors allows me to handle all the day's details with ease.  My job is to make sure that you have the freedom to relax and enjoy one of the most memorable occasions of your life.

Some couples today still perceive hiring a professional wedding planner/coordinator as a non-mandatory item on the wedding checklist.  However, after years of experience, I know that it is necessary if you truly want to have a smooth, relaxed, and carefree experience on your wedding day.

 

Frequently couples rely on a friend or family member to do the majority of the wedding day planning and coordinating.  While this seems like a good idea in principle, it often proves difficult for that friend or relative to enjoy the day, be there for the bride and groom, and celebrate the moment.  I aim to eliminate this problem by demonstrating to couples the value of hiring a wedding planner and the great gift it is to themselves and their loved one to have someone else responsible for timing and management of events.

 

It is not often that couples say "I really didn't need that wedding coordinator."  However, it is quite common to hear "I really wish I would have hired a wedding coordinator."  I encourage everyone to invest in the moment and hire a professional wedding planner.  You won't get those valuable memories back.

 

When hired, I view it as my personal responsibility to make sure your day is not spent answering questions, telling others where to go, and worrying about the details - let that be my job.  It is my philosophy to make your memories of you wedding day be filled with happiness, joy, and love.
